USA Women's U20212229There was a lot of contact and foul calls made during this game. Even though the game was very intense, there should have been a stronger focus on maintaining less body contact.

USA Women's U20110125Double teams occured often and were not fixed after several discussions about it. Many foul and contact calls were made which resulted in long discussions where the unbiased (GA or video) decision was rarely accepted. The frequency of calls led to disrupted momentum of points. There were also several occurrences where they did not understand the rules which led to unnecessarily long discussions. We wish this final could have felt more spirited for how special of a game it should be.

JPN Women's U202233111There were small rules things that they didn’t know (changing places on the line, changing pivot feet, traveling when bringing the disc to the front of the endzone), but we felt they were not enough to give them a 1. For communication, we understand that it’s hard to bring the translator every thing there’s a discussion, but we think they could have used more hand signals and they were stalling in Japanese sometimes. We thought their fair mindedness and attitude were very spirited! Great game!!!
